J.I. Morris Taps And Gages was established in 1920 and has earned a reputation for high quality products and prompt service over almost 100 Years. MORRIS taps and gauges are made on a custom designed computer controlled machine, which to our knowledge, is the only one in the world that can make a complete tap in one chucking. This assures close dimensional and geometric accuracy. The small shank, the same diameter as the thread, assures closer concentricity and more uniform heat treatment. This means faster setups and longer tool life, which produces a lower cost per tapped hole, especially when checked with our precision ground plug gauges which can be calibrated on our unique opto, electro, mechanical measuring machine, accurate to .000001, set with masters traceable to NIST.
